Edgemont Wrestling would like to congratulate freshman Will Graybeal on his Eagle Scout Court of Honor.
Only about 1% of all boys who participate in Scouting achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.??That honor requires the completion of very specific requirements for the Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class ranks and 21 Merit Badges for the Star, Life and Eagle ranks. In addition, a Scout must serve actively as youth leader in the Scout troop and must complete many hours in community service, including the planning and execution of a major Eagle Scout Service Project that demonstrates leadership of others.??Achieving the rank of Eagle takes several years of sustained effort.?
Will?s Eagle Service Project involved the construction and planting of four 7? benches and two 12? benches in the community garden adjacent to the Edgemont High School cafeteria. These benches create an outdoor classroom for the school and the community.?The project took almost 200 man hours to complete and involved almost two dozen volunteers.
