Another great season in the books! Here are some of our competitive highlights?
- 3rd consecutive League Title (continuing our three-year 17-match League Winning Streak)!
- 7 Edgemont wrestlers named to All-League Team!
? - Team Champions of the 30th Annual Edgemont Wrestling Tournament (for only the 2nd time ever)!
? - Sectional Championships Team Runner-Up (235 team points scored at Sectionals ?new Edgemont record)!
? - 12 of 16 wrestlers competing in Sectionals placed in the Top 6 in Section 1!
? - 6 Sectional Championship Finalists (new Edgemont record)!
? - 2 Sectional Champions!
? - Trey Aslanian becomes Edgemont?s first-ever three-time All-State Honoree and first-ever two-time NYS Finalist!
? - Tyler Aslanian finishes Top 8 in New York State!
Most importantly?
- We worked diligently towards the achieving the goals of our Philosophy Statement.
- We completed our annual team Community Service Project, volunteering with Westhab and the Elm Street Youth Center in Yonkers, working with homeless and at-risk youth.
? - We challenged our athletes with some of the best competition in NYS and challenged them to work harder than they ever thought they could work and be better than they ever thought they could be.
? - We continued to develop student-athletes who will be successful on and off the mat for the rest of their lives from the lessons and values learned through wrestling.
