CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. ? Led by Trey and Tyler Aslanian, Edgemont had eight wrestlers advance Saturday to the semifinals of the Section 1 Small-School Wrestling Championships at Croton High School.
Wrestling will resume Sunday at 9 a.m. with one round of large-school wrestle back consolations. This will be followed by the semifinals for both large and small schools at the Goldstein Center on the campus of Pace University in Pleasantville. The large school and small school finals are scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
Edgemont is in second place, with 120.5 points, behind leader Nanuet (140.5 points).? Putnam Valley sits third with 115 points.
Edgemont?s other semifinalists include Sky Korek at 113 pounds, along with Trey Aslanian, Will Graybeal (126), Colin Hopkins (132), Jack McCormack (145), Chris Kim (170) and Danny Kornberg (220).
