Edgemont Wrestling is proud to announce the addition of Sean Ross ’06 to its coaching staff. Ross was a Captain of the Edgemont squad during his senior campaign in 2005-2006 and will be returning to his alma mater in a coaching capacity.
Ross was a 2010 Cum Laude graduate of SUNY Geneseo where he made the Dean’s List while majoring in Biology. Ross also competed on the Men’s Rugby team while at Geneseo and is excited to return to the mats at Edgemont. “I am excited to take on this role and work with all of our athletes to help them achieve their goals,” Ross said. “I know I gained so much as a person from the Edgemont Wrestling Program and I am eager to help our current and future student-athletes with their development.”
“Sean was truly an Edgemont Wrestling success story,” said First Assistant Coach Pete Jacobson. “He was not the most gifted natural athlete but made a name for himself in Section 1 based on his work ethic and commitment. This carried over to the classroom as well. Sean has set a great example for our student-athletes to learn from.”
Ross’s day-to-day responsibilities will include work with the Youth Team as well as with JV and Varsity athletes.
